Halejian, Yale picked third in Ivy League

The Ivy League released the results of the poll Wednesday afternoon. The 17 voters (two from each school and one national media representative) predicted that Yale will finish third in the Ivy League’s standings in 2012-13 behind Princeton and Harvard. Yale (16-12, 8-6 Ivy) came in third-place with 96 points. The Bulldogs return senior Megan Vasquez, who earned first-team All-Ivy honors last season after averaging 15.3 points per game, fourth-best in the League. Last year’s Rookie of the Year, sophomore Sarah Halejian, also is back for Yale.

The Bulldogs will tip off the 2012-13 season on Nov. 9 at Holy Cross at 7 p.m. Yale’s 2012-13 season also includes visits to Big East powers DePaul and Georgetown, as well as a visit to Northwestern.
