Kaspar hits a career-high four three-pointers

Western Kentucky lost, 67-64, in overtime to Southern Miss in the season opener for both schools.

Kevin Kaspar hit a career-high four three-point field goals and finished with 13 points. All four three-point field goals came in the final 12:20 of regulation and overtime. Kaspar is back  as a sophomore after missing the 2nd half of his freshman season with a knee injury. WKU’s streak of 772 consecutive games with a three-point field goal appeared in jeopardy until Kevin Kaspar hit a three with 12:20 remaining in the game. WKU’s streak is now 773, the fifth longest in the nation.
